Earlier in March, four relay swimmers: Mark Chamberlain, Brad Gale, Anthony Pearse, and Barend Nortje braved cold temperatures (and possibly sharks) when they swam 35km across the daunting False Bay river to raise funds for the JAG Foundation.

Crossing the False Bay River to help make a difference

The group were successful in their attempt and raised over R100 000. In the process, they also broke the world record by completing the grueling swim in an impressive 7 hours and 29 minutes.

We thank these heroes for getting in deep waters to help make a difference. You can get involved by making a contribution at our donations page, every 1 counts!
